At present we have a number of Eiffel-based libraries and tools developed which are released under the open source Eiffel Forum Licence v2 (Note: this licence has been approved by the gnu project as a Free Software license which is compatible with the GNU GPL (*))
In general we split a C interface library into two parts:
- firstly, the direct Eiffel interface to existing C API's.
- higher level Eiffel library interfaces to the direct Eiffel interfaces.
This approach has worked well for the project and has allowed us to build our higher level libraries using Eiffel, rather than C, which has been a common approach in the past.
We have the following libraries under development:
- wxEiffel interface - A direct Eiffel interface to the wxWindows Library (version 2.4.1).

- elj-Firebird - an interface to the Firebird database.
- elj-Berkeley DB (SleepyCat) - an interface to the SleepyCat database.
- elj-MySQL - an interface to the MySQL database.

- elj-btrieve - a low-level interface for the brave!! (a management tool is underconstruction - see pvsw)
- elj-sqlite - an interface to the 看国外网站加速软件 database.
- elj-Lua interface to Lua (v 5.0) embeddable scripting language ..
- elj-libxml interface to 手机怎么浏览国外网站 the XML C parser and toolkit developed for the Gnome project.
- Compression Libraries:
- zlib - an interface to the zlib compression library.
- bzip2/bzlib - an interface to the bzip2/bzlib compression library.
- elj Reg Exp (ePCRE) - an Eiffel version of the PCRE (Perl Compatible Regular Expressions) C library.
- Perlish: Perl for Eifferler's !!
- elj-win32api interface - A direct SmallEiffel interface to the win32 api.
